One of the problems with the out-of-the-box Camelbak is when it gets dropped (usually by one of my kids) and gets dirtied. Sure, you can clean it off, but it is a pain, and if I'm not careful my two year old is eating dirt. This cover is great at keeping the valve clean - easy to put on, easy to use, stays on. Come to think of it, why doesn't Camelbak include it as part of their product? Especially if I'm trekking around and getting dirty. A little annoying to put on at first, be sure to use alcohol and really twist it on there. A good buy!
