I had this in Oklahoma with temps in the low 30s and I was snug. The only thing I would really change about it is if it was smaller. It is bulky for how I wish to use it which is in backpacking and I have been considering switching it out of my gear. I purchased some therm-a-rest straps through Amazon and I cinch it down tight in criss cross fashion. This makes it small enough to fit in my pack okay but it is still a little bulky. Weight wise I see 4.1 pounds online. I am not personally sure how heavy it is. For 10x the price I am sure I could get one smaller and lighter but I think there are other things I would rather have. I am looking to maybe replace it with the Kelty Cosmic Down 20-Degree Sleeping Bag it is filled with down 550 fill. But it was more likely 45 degree. Good for warm season camping! Other than that, it is a nice, comfortable bag! 2 of 2 people found the following review helpful Cheap Bag is Cheap, By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Wenzel Santa Fe 20-Degree Sleeping Bag (Cobalt/Orange) (Sports) I bought this bag because I wanted a bag to go backpacking with and didn't want to spend a lot of money. After owning the bag for about 8 months and bringing it along 150 miles on the AT I am overjoyed to finally buy a decent bag and ditch this one. It's a decent bag for the price but you do get what you pay for. Before my first outing with the bag I noticed that the sleeve which holds the bungee to synch down the face opening already had a tear. Since then it has developed one or two other mend-able tears in the bag and the stuff sack is in pretty bad shape. The bag is also quite heavy at 3.7 lbs but as long as you're not backpacking that's not a big deal. Also the temperature rating on the bag is a joke. I wanted a decent three season bag but would think twice before taking this out in the early spring/late fall. I've been out in the low 40's to upper 30's and I needed to sleep with multiple layers including a jacket and hat. Even with this added insulation I woke up quite a few... Read more |
